The month of June was a benchmark for New Orleans as the first major convention of 2006, the American Library Association met in the City. The convention followed on the heels of the successful French Quarter Festival, Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Zurich PGA Golf Classic, proving once again, that New Orleans is a city that won't give up.
We hope to entice you as well with our new "Singing the Blues" package which includes a night of great entertainment at one of our popular music clubs, and our Culinary Volun-tourism package for ten or more people, which gives guests the opportunity to get a hands-on cooking class and to deliver the prepared items to a Habitat for Humanity site. At the end of the day, cool off with a Windsor Court Lemonade in the Polo Club Lounge or linger in Le Salon with Afternoon Tea. Our award winning Aquarium of the Americas and IMAX Theater, located on the Riverfront, have reopened just in time for our summer visitors and their children.
